Vikings to start QB Carson Wentz against Bills with Kyler Murray ruled out

The Minnesota Vikings have announced that Carson Wentz will start at quarterback for their upcoming game against the Buffalo Bills, as Kyler Murray is sidelined with a strained hamstring. This marks the Vikings' 14th quarterback change this season, a result of injuries and performance issues since Kirk Cousins' injury earlier in the year.

Murray's injury occurred during a recent game against the Detroit Lions, where he struggled to connect with receivers, leading to frustration among players. Although there are no plans to place him on injured reserve, the coaching staff is cautious about his return, emphasizing the risk of exacerbating the injury. Wentz, who joined the team in August 2025, has started several games this season and has shown effectiveness, particularly in connecting with receiver Justin Jefferson.
