2027 NFL draft questions, latest intel, risers, CFB standouts

As the 2026 college football season progresses, attention is turning to prominent quarterback matchups, particularly the clash between Miami's Darian Mensah and Notre Dame's CJ Carr. This game is significant for both players as they are being closely evaluated for the 2027 NFL draft. Analysts are actively assessing their performances, with Mensah currently ranked as the third-best quarterback and Carr as fourth. While both quarterbacks possess strong skills, Carr has recently struggled with accuracy, which will be crucial to monitor against a weak Miami pass defense.

In addition to the quarterbacks, several other prospects are making headlines. Indiana receivers Charlie Becker and Nick Marsh are both expected to be top-20 picks, with Becker showcasing impressive stats against Minnesota. Meanwhile, South Carolina's LaNorris Sellers has experienced a resurgence, significantly improving his draft stock with strong performances in recent games. Other players of note include Clemson's Will Heldt, who continues to excel as an edge rusher, and Texas Tech's A.J. Holmes Jr., who is rapidly climbing draft boards as a defensive tackle.
