Wild's Brock Faber back at practice after recovery from fractured skull

Brock Faber of the Minnesota Wild has returned to practice after recovering from a fractured skull, bringing him closer to his regular season debut. The team’s coach indicated that Faber has received medical clearance but still needs to improve his strength and conditioning before participating in games. Although he will not play in the upcoming home games, he is expected to join the team on their road trip starting Tuesday in Montreal.

Faber sustained his injury during a preseason game on September 25 when he was struck by a puck, leading to surgery after his condition deteriorated. Last season, he was a significant contributor, ranking among the top players in minutes played and achieving a career-high in points. The Wild currently lead the Central Division despite missing Faber and other key players, including captain Jared Spurgeon, who has been sidelined with a lower-body injury. Several other teammates are also recovering from injuries and are anticipated to join the team on the upcoming road trip.
