Sources: LJ Martin trending toward return for BYU vs. Utah

LJ Martin, the star running back for No. 9 BYU, is showing signs of returning for the upcoming game against No. 3 Utah. Although he is officially listed as doubtful, sources indicate that he is likely to dress and could play, albeit not at full capacity. A final decision regarding his participation will be made later in the week.

Martin has been recovering from a lower-body injury sustained during a game against TCU on October 3, which initially sidelined him for four to six weeks. In his absence, BYU has managed a 3-1 record, with the only loss coming in a double overtime match against UCF. The Cougars have relied on Sione Moa and Preston Rex to fill the gap left by Martin, who had an impressive season prior to his injury. The rivalry between BYU and Utah has been intense, with the last three matchups being decided by narrow margins.
