Seahawks' Lock says elbow feeling 'better' ahead of start vs. Cardinals
Seattle Seahawks backup quarterback Drew Lock is set to start this Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, as he reports that his elbow injury is improving. Lock has been sidelined for the past two games due to this injury but expressed excitement about returning to the field. He noted that he felt good during practice and is ready to take on a full workload for the rest of the week.
Lock's opportunity to lead the team comes as starter Sam Darnold is dealing with a right quadriceps injury and a cracked rib sustained during a recent game. Darnold's status is week-to-week, and he will not be placed on injured reserve. Coach Mike Macdonald mentioned that backup quarterback Jalen Milroe will also be prepared to step in if necessary. Lock previously played well in the first two games of the season, contributing to the team's early success.
