Jets' Breece Hall says he's ready to play, cites threats for social media exit
Breece Hall, running back for the New York Jets, announced that he is ready to return to play after missing five games due to a quadriceps injury. During his recovery, he faced negative comments on social media, which led him to delete his accounts. Hall explained that he felt the need to step away due to threats directed at him and his family, as well as skepticism regarding the seriousness of his injury. He expressed that the pressure from fans can be intense, especially in New York, where expectations are high.
While Hall was sidelined, backup Braelon Allen excelled, rushing for significant yardage, which sparked trade rumors and raised questions about Hall's position as the team's primary running back. However, the Jets' offensive coordinator confirmed that Hall remains the No. 1 back. Hall indicated he is open to sharing the workload with Allen, acknowledging the latter's strong performance and the improved play of the offensive line. Meanwhile, wide receiver Garrett Wilson is still in concussion protocol and missed practice again, adding to the team's challenges as they prepare to face the Kansas City Chiefs.
