Heat's Klay Thompson hits eight 3s, but none as dramatic as game winner

Klay Thompson led the Miami Heat to a thrilling 117-116 overtime victory against the LA Clippers with a game-winning 3-pointer just before the final buzzer. The shot capped off a remarkable comeback from a 20-point deficit, showcasing Thompson's skills as he found space in the corner thanks to a screen from Bam Adebayo. After receiving the inbounds pass from Giannis Antetokounmpo, Thompson launched the shot that ultimately sealed the win for Miami.

Thompson finished the game with 30 points and made eight 3-pointers, marking his first time hitting that many since December 2023. This victory marked a significant turnaround for the Heat, who had struggled at the start of the season with four consecutive losses. Coach Erik Spoelstra praised Thompson's dedication to his fitness and the team's resilience, highlighting their defensive effort in the second half as key to the comeback. Despite a controversial call at the end of regulation that sent the game into overtime, the Heat managed to secure a much-needed win.
