Florida suspends DT Jeramiah McCloud 1 game for detrimental conduct
The University of Florida has announced the suspension of starting defensive tackle Jeramiah McCloud for one game due to conduct deemed detrimental to the team. McCloud will be unavailable for the upcoming home game against Oklahoma. The team indicated that his future with the program will be assessed following this week's game.
McCloud, a sophomore from Sylvester, Georgia, has started five games this season and recorded 22 tackles. His suspension follows an incident earlier in the season where he was seen making an obscene gesture towards fans during a loss at Missouri. Additionally, Florida will also be without starting right tackle Emeka Ugorji and backup linebacker Jaden Robinson due to injuries, while receiver Vernell Brown III is doubtful after a knee injury. Defensive end Emmanuel Oyebadejo and receiver Bailey Stockton are listed as questionable for the game.
