Regis Le Bris retains Sunderland confidence despite bad run - report

Sunderland's manager, Regis Le Bris, continues to have the backing of the club's board despite a challenging start to the Premier League season. The team currently sits at the bottom of the table with only one win from nine matches, following a recent 3-1 loss to Coventry that extended their winless streak to seven games.

While the club acknowledges the frustrations of fans and shares concerns over recent performances, they believe in Le Bris's ability to improve the situation. The head coach previously led Sunderland to promotion and a commendable seventh-place finish last season, which included a return to European competition. Sunderland remains unbeaten in their Europa League campaign, but the additional matches seem to have impacted their league form. The team is set to face Dinamo Zagreb in the Europa League on Thursday, followed by a Premier League match against Chelsea on Sunday.
