Red Sox, Diamondbacks lead Gold Glove winners with 3 apiece
The Red Sox and Diamondbacks each celebrated three Gold Glove winners, leading the league in this year's awards. Among the notable recipients, Wilyer Abreu of the Red Sox secured his third consecutive Gold Glove, while Ceddanne Rafaela received the honor for the second year in a row. Caleb Durbin was recognized as a first-time winner in the third base position.
For the Diamondbacks, Gabriel Moreno won his second Gold Glove, marking his first since 2023. Geraldo Perdomo and Corbin Carroll also achieved first-time recognition for their defensive skills. First basemen Christian Walker and Matt Olson each added to their accolades, with Walker winning his fourth Gold Glove and Olson his third. Voting for the awards involved managers and coaches from each team, with a portion of the decision based on a defensive index developed by the Society for American Baseball Research.
