Moyes after second Everton win over Newcastle: 'Not an easy thing'

Everton achieved a significant victory over Newcastle United, winning 1-0 at St James' Park, marking their second consecutive win against the Magpies within a week. This match followed a 3-1 victory for Everton in the Carabao Cup, and the team's performance was praised by manager David Moyes, who acknowledged the challenge of securing back-to-back wins against the same opponent in such a short timeframe.

The match saw a lack of clear chances in the first half, but Everton took the lead shortly after halftime with a goal from Thierno Barry. This win not only ended a three-game winless streak for Everton in the Premier League but also marked their first away victory of the season, moving them up to seventh place in the standings. In contrast, Newcastle's manager Matthias Jaissle expressed disappointment with his team's performance, acknowledging the need for improvement and taking responsibility for the defeat.
