Lewis Hamilton: Watching successor Kimi Antonelli win title 'highlight of my year'

Lewis Hamilton expressed that witnessing Kimi Antonelli secure his first world championship was the standout moment of his Formula 1 season. Antonelli, who took over Hamilton's position at Mercedes in 2025, made history by becoming the youngest champion at the age of 20 during the Mexico City Grand Prix. Hamilton, along with Max Verstappen, celebrated Antonelli's victory on the podium and shared his congratulations on social media, highlighting the significance of the moment for both Antonelli and the Mercedes team.

In addition to celebrating Antonelli's success, Hamilton reflected on his own team's challenges during the race weekend. He acknowledged that Ferrari missed a winning opportunity and hinted at internal tensions following Charles Leclerc's actions early in the race. Despite the frustrations, Hamilton reaffirmed his commitment to Ferrari, emphasizing his determination to contribute positively to the team's future and encouraging fans to remain supportive as they strive for improvement.
