F1 reassures teams Middle East races will go ahead as planned

Formula 1 has confirmed that its two upcoming races in the Middle East will proceed as scheduled, despite recent concerns raised by Yamaha's withdrawal from the MotoGP event in Qatar. The announcement was made to the 11 F1 teams after Yamaha cited travel restrictions due to the ongoing conflict in Iran. F1 emphasized that it is in constant communication with authorities in both Qatar and Abu Dhabi, assuring teams that the events are safe to hold.

The organization also advised teams to refrain from public speculation regarding the situation. While some drivers have expressed doubts about racing in the region, F1 has maintained a consistent stance throughout the season. In the event of any escalations during the race weekends, F1 has comprehensive evacuation plans in place. Additionally, should it become necessary to cancel the races, a contingency plan to hold the final event in Imola has been established, ensuring that logistical operations remain unaffected.
