Charles Leclerc dominates second practice from Lando Norris at Mexico City Grand Prix

Charles Leclerc of Ferrari showcased his dominance by leading both practice sessions at the Mexico City Grand Prix, finishing the second session ahead of McLaren's Lando Norris by 0.103 seconds. George Russell returned to the Mercedes team and secured third place, while his teammate Kimi Antonelli, who is in contention for the drivers' title, placed fourth. Red Bull's Max Verstappen completed the top five rankings.

The practice sessions were not without incident, as Verstappen and Liam Lawson collided during the second session, resulting in a one-place grid penalty for both drivers. Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton experienced technical difficulties, losing power in his car and having to exit the session early. Home favorite Sergio Pérez, despite battling illness, participated but finished in 18th place, missing post-practice media obligations.
