Alexander Volkanovski stops Movsar Evloev in second round to retain title

Alexander Volkanovski successfully defended his featherweight title for the second time this year, defeating Movsar Evloev by knockout in the second round at UFC 333 in Abu Dhabi. The fight concluded at 4:54 of the round after Volkanovski landed a powerful combination that dropped Evloev, followed by a series of unanswered strikes on the ground.

At 38 years old, Volkanovski's victory adds to his legacy as one of the greatest featherweights in UFC history. He had previously stated that he might consider retirement if he sustained significant damage during the fight. Evloev, who entered the match undefeated and regarded as a highly decorated challenger, was competitive initially but struggled to respond effectively after being hurt by Volkanovski. Despite the loss, Evloev acknowledged Volkanovski's greatness and expressed a desire to continue pursuing championship success in the future.
